FART BABY

So a couple of weeks ago I found out that some of my ~artwerk~ was put up on Grace Miceli's Art Baby. As a level one internet loser this was pretty exciting for me because no 1 knowz wut itz like. I know what your thinking so shut up because I AM FASHION.
Anyways, I submitted a series of photos I took way back long ago in May with Bryce who is a huge babe and now goes to Pratt.

These pictures were also in Hvit's awesome zine "ON" (more on that later because holy wow H is a wizard)

I want to settle down

Top: Gift from The Goo Girls Skirt: Thrifted. Shoes: Doc Martens that I revamped out of boredom yesterday. Crown: Meadham Kirchhoff x Rookie (more on that later)

Not a Huge Kimbra fan but this video is essentially how I've been feeling in a nutshell

A couple weeks back, right after I returned from New Mexico, I got a package from the Goo Girls full of magical goods. Most notabley this top that I wore on one of the first days of school. It took me a while to think of ~the perfect way to style it~ because it reaks of Meadham Kirchhoff but finally on a thrift excursion yesterday my problems were solved: I found this random kilt in the back of one of my favorite local thrift store that reminded me of Enid Coleslaw and therefore, via transitive property it reminded me of Meadham Kirchhoff.
When I looked back at these pictures after I finished editing (just the lighting, I swear!) I realized how young I looked. It could be the fact that I was too lazy to put on makeup this morning. The real reason I think I look so young is simply because I am young, it's really hard for us to look at ourselves and see what is really there. I'm 16 god damnit, I can't really hide from myself anymore. I'm still a lill baby for the most part. I also think my docs have to say a lot about my age. I got them when I was 14, right around the time I decided to "reinvent" myself. These were probably one of my first major wardrobe staples that I got to help me change my image. The great thing about that awkward freshman in highschool phase is that the majority of it is actually on my blog. Thank god for the internet.

STARE INTO MY EYES SO I CAN KILL YOU

sum angsty psych pop just 4 u, internet
This was essentially what I wore on one of the ~first days~ of school. Now I'm an upperclassman, so in a "Dazed and Confused" fashion I proceeded to haze a bunch of freshman by dressing them up as babies and putting them in the back of my pick-up truck that I apparently own now. In reality I set up an Alt Squad booth and crushed the dreams of many an angsty 14 year-old because I AM A COLD HEARTLESS BITCH. Also kidding.
Basically, I went to school and it was pretty boring because now I'm incredibly wise and therefore jaded by back to school hype. I decided to wear this dress for a couple of reasons. Mainly to sort of make fun of how fetishized teenagers are. It's like the media constantly tries to create this idea that High School is supposed to be the best years of our lives. I can't help but think this is total meshuggah. Not to sound angsty but I can't really relate to this interpretation. I'm overally realistic about a lot of things. I am fully aware that if I peak before my 20's there is something seriously wrong with me. To quote John Greene: I'm still searching for the "Great Perhaps" so for the time being I need to suck it up and go on with my MOODY AND ANGSTY LIFE.
Anyways, I picked this dress because it reminded me a lot of Velma from Scooby Doo and also because on the sides are incredibly revealing slits. This dress pretty much combines youth (the prints and the overall color scheme) and a more risky  cut (very defined slits and the figure it creates). To add to it I added my "classy loafers" because they're classy and remind me of school girls (adding to the youth vibe).
High School is really a funny little beast. I can't really say "this is going to be my year" because it really isn't. I can say however, I don't think it will be bad at all

Hello Ruby in the Dust

This past week I was lucky enough to make a bit of a pilgrimage out west to the desert. It was pretty much like being in aesthetic dreamland so like the big ol' narcissit I am I will share some pictures of my trip.
