Who Wants to Hear a Story?

Sorry for the irrelevant title. I am not telling you a story because I'm evil at heart. I hope you have realized by now I am writing this blog in hopes to steal all of your souls.
Just kidding.
Anyway, I was tagged by the super cute Catherine to do a fashion related questionnaire! So watch me dear readers as I attempt to flawlessly answer.

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGNER?!
Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 Ready-to-Wear Alexander McQueen Spring 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Alexander McQueen hands down. I honestly don't know why but I feel connected to a lot of his designs. They're so futuristic yet so sensual and gothic. Also I cried when I saw his presentation at the met last spring. He's kind of a fashion genie. Some of my other favorites are: Mandy Coon, Comme Des Garcons, Rodarte, and Praadaaaa.

Favorite Trend at the moment?

Probably the whole 50's/60's revival. I'm a sucker for beehives and saddle shoes. Also I love the 60's because the shape that was most popular is the shape that is most flattering on me so I don't have to worry about attempting to find a pair of jeans that aren't specialized in trying to make my "ass look hawt and curvy" All butts are good butts okay?

In your opinion, who is an awful designer?

I'm not too big on the whole Celebrity turned designer thing that has been happening lately. Seriously, Why does Jessica Simpson need her own line of shoes. Besides that I guess I don't really have a designer I find awful. Sometimes designers bore me by not really experimenting but it does mean they're awful, they just don't cater toward the look I'm going for.

Who is your fashion role model?

I hate this question. I don't really have a role model so to speak. My style is generally inspired by artwork, music, film, and literature.

Describe Your Style in 5 words.

Eccentric, loud, ironically feminine, bitchy.

What do you always carry?

Well according to my bag: Cellphone, money, picture of frida khalo, an anti-frack sticker, mints, random protest pins, tampons, a book, and a mixtape. Yeah my bag is full of weird curiosities.

(This is my bag.)

Jeans, sunglasses, or heels?

Heels. I literally wear heels everyday. They're kind of my go to shoes because I own noo functional shoes.

What inspired you to blog about fashion?

I'd been kind of into fashion for quite some time and I was already reading a ton of blogs so I guess I kind of figured I should start my own. Sorry, lame answer.
What blog are you obsessing about right now?

The fashion turd! I love Holly, she's hilarious and I love how she dresses like a "Japanese School Boy." She also has amazing hair and has the best fashion week coverage ever. Check out her blog I say! Go!

If You could tell your school, city or country one piece of fashion advice what would it be?
Don't be afraid to expirement with what you wear! It might take a while to be fully comfortable with what you're wearing but believe me, after a while it feels awesome.

I'm going to tag:
Claire, Brittney, and Hvit

Just like a macaroon

Blazer: Vintage (my grandma's from the 60's). Top: Bought at a battle of the bands . Belt: Thrifted. Skirt: Gift. Shoes: Thrifted. Socks: Target.

So this was my outfit for part of yesterday. I've sort of slipped back into grunge even though the fashion world is going back into over the top Edward Scissorhands pastels. I still am a bit of a pastel girl. I fawned over Louis Vuitton's SS12 collection just as much as the next person (i mean seriously pastels and lace peter pan collars?!) But lately I guess I kind of look like a mix between some drugged college professor and some kid from the 90's. What can I say? My style is always evolving. Who knows what I'll be interested in next.

Stacy's Brain is Insane

Wow I haven't posted in over a week. Once again...I refuse to apologize! Think of my mini hiatus as an artistic excursion of thought. I spent my last 10 days creating fabulous works of art and traveling the world. Not. I actually instead learned that it is possible to wear a shirt covered in orange juice stains for 48 hours without feeling obligated to educate myself in what's happening in fashion. Which leads me to my absence at fashion week. I was in fact invited to 3 shows but being as lucky as I generally am I had stay home at the last minute because I had no way of getting there (People aren't as cool with hitchhiking as they were in the ye olde days of the 60's)
Anyway, This is sort of a hodgepodge pseudo moodboard. I've been feeling the whole "Teenager stuck in suburbia in the 60's on acid" thing lately. As a result I've pretty much been living in shift dresses, psychedelic prints, and bright pink platforms. I've also been listening to the beach boys and bjork more than I need to (Look how cool I am! Bjork and Beach Boys both start with the letter B!)
I think in general February has been a weird month for me, I'm already transitioning back into dressing all grunge-y and digging up Sonic Youth LP's at my local music shop. I figure this is perfect timing to switch moods because Valentine's Day is tomorrow and I'm making myself dinner for one so listening to Sonic Youth seems to be in order.
That's all!

I didn't see my shadow so spring is here

blazer: vintage. dress worn as a top: H&M. Skirt: H&M. Necklace: DYI

I am so predictable as to where I buy my clothes. Thank god my ho-hum suburban wasteland mall has an H&M or I probably would die. Seriously. If you went to the mall near my house you would more than likely think you were somewhere in Dante's Inferno.
Anyway, I was sort of going for a "Jurgen Teller Nostalgia Party" vibe. In POP magazine there was an editorial called "An Italian Apartment" or something of that nature. It was back in SS11 but I'm still obsessed with it so I thought I would attempt that.
Also I really like my top. Not to toot my own horn but duuudes, it has an open back and it's skeleton printed.
OH, butch 2 is coming out soon. I would have released it way earlier but I was too occupied with school.
