Some People see things others don't

Feeling grunge-y makes me feel like listening to bikini kill. I got the teen vogue handbook from my aunt for Hanukkah. It's actually pretty cool they have an interview with the mulleavy sisters from Rodarte. They also interviewed jack mccollough and lazaro hernandez from Proenza Schouler. See guys Teen Vogue is pretty awesome

Quiet Rose the Nymphs are sleeping

This editorial is creepy but really cool. I kinda like the whole lady gaga meets peter pan thing going on here.I love the miu miu dress in the second to last picture! There was a great use of prada in this editorial! Thanksgiving in New York was cool I went to a vintage store and bought a crinoline skirt that makes me feel like a victorian fairy. My camera battery died so I'll put it up next post. Yipee. I'm tagging Aphrodite for her epic view on nostalgia and highschool. Oh I found this really cool book by this Israeli feminist on Judaism and riot grrl.

The Elite group of under 16 bloggers

So Bella is super cool,
I immediately got hooked on her blog because:.
a. She is the only other non Tavi under 16 blogger I know. I'm 14 so that makes 3 of us
bso that made me hooked
c. I find her dry humor very fun to read!
I interviewed her the other day and she had a lot to say:
How did you get into fashion?
Well, I've always been interested in fashion. I can't say that I'm knowledgeable when it comes to materials and designer's names, but I'm learning. I found out about fashion blogging through Teen Vogue. Tavi was being featured. I had never heard about her. Soon I was reading Style Rookie everyday and thinking of possible blog titles.
Me: What things inspire your posts?
Bella: Photographs, other bloggers, and collections. Many things. Items as simple as old-fashioned Coca-Cola bottles inspire me.

Me: Who is your favorite designer?
Bella: I have many favorites: Alexander McQueen, Kate and Laura Mulleavy, John Galliano, Rei Kawakubo, Alber Elbaz, Karl Lagerfeld, and Tao Kurihara.

What do you dislike about Aberzombies?
Their lack of individuality. They all dress the same, and they speak the same.

Me: At your school how do people respond to your fashion obsession?
Bella: I'm homeschooled now, but when I went to school people would ask dumb questions. "Why are you wearing a tutu?" The douche 'popular' guys would snicker and point at me but I smiled through it. The fact that they didn't like my outfit meant that I was different.

Me: Who is your favorite person in the industry?
I love Anna Dello Russo, Anna Wintour, John Galliano, and Freja Beha Erichsen. They all have quirks, but they all seem so cool. I'm convinced that Anna Wintour is a superhero.

Me: What are your favorite blogs?

Me: If you could wear anything in the world what would you wear?

Yup that was pretty cool huh? I found an editorial from Nippon Vogue that I am using next post. Have a nice thanksgiving ( I' m going up to Manhattan to see family and go shopping.)
The picture is of Bella which I found on her blog. I

So guess what.....I AM A SUPER STAR sorry really hyper for three reasons:

Sorry bout the video guys youtube wasn't working today blaarg.
But anyway so this video is amazing because:
a: it's about pink robots
b: that teddy bear is seriously awesome
c: that girl totally pulled a kawakubo. She totally looks like Rei maybe they're twins or third cousins
Anyway. the first picture is from hero magazine I found via Pop World. Hero is pretty cool its by these super star gay guys who go around looking for awesome people who should be models
The third one is from pop also! She looks like a mix between lady gaga and marc jacobs last season.
I would totally die my hair that color. But there is a lot of things I would do, like write stuff on my head with sharpie.
I have the sudden urge to eat pop rocks so I will.

Depressed Fairy Godmothers

Okay so I've finally posted this picture. So i wore this last week but whatevs. Anyway, so I walk into my home room to the usual crowd of girls yapping away about their intense 9th grade relationships. I sit down listening to the Ramones while acting all hyper when the girl behind me says something to me.
"Are you like into fashion?"
"Uhh yeah."
"Do you like Betsey Johnson."
"..." Alright I'll say it betsey is like the crazy sister or aunt I never had she completes me okay? She seriously is just amazing and hilarious. Anyways so this was seriously my favorite outfit ever. You can't really see it but my headband has a "Slandwhich" jelly card on it. Also my belt is a tape measure with a belt buckle talking about Alexander McQ being my hero.
I have one other important thing to tell y'all. So Tavi ( god I'm pretty sure I don't have to explain who she is) is creating a magazine for us wacko wallflower children. I submitted something for it. Yay! Support it because our voices should be heard!
In other news I have a crush on a pair of proenza schouler pants. They came to me in a dream and suddenly I was running around in the best mood ever. Oh they are wonderful but I am envious of them so!
Roma+ Proenza Schouler Pants=love

Space cadets and tin houses

I've been dying to use that video! I think the VMAs are a scam because this should have won. As they said in SNL being awarded a vma is like having a worlds best grandma mug and you say that your grandma is better. Anyway. I feel slightly awesome because this post makes me feel all inspired. I really like the Pucci stuff in the first two pics I sort of think that Alexander McQueen sort of carried the torch in creating space wear. However his is for the other side. His is for weird aliens like Lady GaGa, misfits, and for Vogue Nippon and their crazy editors who I love like crazy. Any way, school was great today because somebody totally played the balmain card with neon leggings and a sparkly leather coat. I love balmain but it sort of hurts your eyes to look at. Its like you give a four year old a glue gun and some sparkles and tell them to go to town. Next post I am going to put up some pics of the outfit I wore a couple days ago because people were so hilarious about so I was saving it for later. Shit!I just went on a tangent. Whatevs
Going Home!

Street Smarts

I've been in this super feminist mood lately. Like today for example some of my fellow classmates found my blog and were immediately profound to know that I dropped the "f-bomb" and started laughing at me or were like "really?!" I actually find it hilarious that people miss understand that.Anyway I was super inspired by Tokyo street style after reading something in vogue paris about so...this is what has come out of it
I think I might base an outfit off of some of these!! I would totally wear this stuff. I mean seriously look at that skirt on the last girl!! Oh I was looking through what designers they are wearing and it seems that harajuku girls have an unhealthy addiction to balmain. Anyway have you done the safety dance lately or done something cool? Probably because I've been sitting here up to my neck in homework so I assume everyone else is at the Party Paris Vogue just through? If you did you have to tell me.....NOW!!!
Bye Bye Miss American Pie,

60's housewives and their cellular banana phones

So this is my first outfit photo. I sort of had this whole vintage thing going on so I made a 60's
themed outfit

H&M top, Vintage orange scarf, Random skirt, Granny Square scarf worn as a belt made by my aunt. Old Navy Tights, Vintage shoes from Metropolis Vintage. Vintage gloves. Designer banana via "Dole"

These shoes are amazing I'm not really sure how to put it but they're super. This RUSSH magazine is responsible for my second post ever. In this outfit part of me felt like I was in the 60's while the other part still had Buddy Holly stuck in her head. Pretty sweet huh?
see ya when the full moon strikes!

I want roses and lanvin

Hey hey hey!
Sorry I haven't posted in a while I was very busy doing important things like singing an operetta and clipping my nails. Anyway I got really really excited a couple of days ago because Lanvin did a collab with H&M. I am sorry but I acted like I drank three cans of rainbow spiked with pixie sticks. It is amazing with a capital Lanvin. Super duper duper happy right now! Anyway enough of this weird blabbering here it is with its shining glory.

I like the second dress better because of the neckline and the poofiness of it. I am totally asking for this dress for Cranakis ( I'm jewish and catholic so I celebrate cranakis.) Seriously though guys this is something japanese fan girl worthy of!!!!!!!!!
Anyway I got a lot of candy and figured how to upload photos and stuff! So tomorrow-ish you will see some outfit pics. Sorry I am so happy right now I want Mr. Lanvin to come to my birthday now along with Miuccia because they are that stinking special!!!
K mellowing down now. I think I'll go watch arthur or phineas and ferb now cause thats what all the cool kids do on friday evening.
