Scary old Sorceresses and packages tied with licorice

So this weekend is halloween and I was originally going to be Tippi Hedren but I couldn't find anything good as a dress. I went to this vintage store and everything was way over priced! So I am going as some sort of hill billy creature. Do not fear! I'll post the pictures soon if I can figure it out.
Ouija boards are cool but they are kind of a let down when you figure they're a scam. I wish I was Peter Pan so I wouldn't ever be let down and would live in my own fantasy.
Oh great Ouija board will I go to a Balenciaga show?!
this picture is kind of creepy but very cool. Its from the Jil Sander Spring 2000 campaign. The model sort of looks like Heather O'Rourke if Heather was older.
Anyway are you dressing up or are you to cool to dress up?
Bye! off to go egg some houses or yell at people to get off my darn lawn!

Mad Hatters and bubbles

So, Yesterday at school I decided that I was going to dress a bit like Daphne from scooby doo. I had on a purple sweatshirt and a high waisted pleated blue skirt with a pin on it. I also had a headband. Now, this headband is kind of strange because I taped a birthday card on it for no reason. I promise you that at least 60 people asked me if it was my birthday. Guess what....IT WASN'T CAN'T A GIRL WEAR A BIRTHDAY CARD HAT WITHOUT IT BEING HER BIRTHDAY?! Apparently the answer is no. Oh and to add to that some girl was showing everyone her picture day picture. Jeez way to be a modest mouse. Do you want to know what would make my day better?

I am pretty sure this is amazing because the beginning is all like "Whaah I am wearing bubble wrap!" The end contradicted that by a mix of Diane Von Furstenberg in the 60's meets a estranged group of contortionists. For some reason this collections random sprits of oddity satisfies me unlike most of Milan's fashion week.
The other thing that would make my day better is the Zither and some odd colored tights!
I love this song its so strange!
Oh and the contest ends in a week or so. Enter! Not that many people have and that makes me sad.
Well bye for now!

Angry Stubborn Articles of Clothing

So this morning as I was getting dress I cam across a pair of boring looking sunglasses however I noticed something....they had the same print as the most fantastic looking Alexander Wang sunglasses ever.
I stared at the glasses. Now to make this a little more interesting we will play house. I will be the four year old and the sunglasses will be the boring parents who sit around eating carb free diets.
Me: Why won't you be alexander wang glasses
Glasses: Because I don't have the energy to, go build character or something
Me: Think about all of the miss fit teenage girls and Andre Leon Tallys that will wear you
Glasses: Who the hell are you? My conscious I got rid of you in High School.
Me: Snaps glasses and sighs.
Anyway as the official ambassador to inanimate objects and as well as people I have carefully observed that no one seems to have any imagination except for toddlers, Karen O, and all of the people in Paris fashion week. I mean with toddlers the skies the limit! They imagine all of this elaborate stuff is under a twin sized bed purchased at baby land. Karen O is well....umm....Karen and fashion is awesome. Especially Miuccia Prada. Miuccia is my hero. She manages to come up with amazing bird shoes and go to parties all at the same time! She still takes time to eat lunch and read Tavi's blog: http://www.thestylerookie.com/
Oh Tavi you say you are terrible with technology but it is actually me!
Anyway long story short. I wish I had a pair of alexander wang glasses and Miuccia Prada would come to my birthday party.Miu Miu Spring 2011 Ready-to-Wear

A Victorian Epitaph

I found this in the October Edition of Paris vogue. I have to say I am really into the whole victorian come back. J'adore the chanel haute couture dress on Lara Stone. There were better pictures in the editorial but they show a bit too much nudity...so I can't post it. You are welcome to look at it for yourself: http://fashiongonerogue.com/lara-stone-freja-beha-erichsen-mariacarla-boscono-vogue-paris-october-2010-mert-marcus/.
Anyway this is definitely one of my favorite editorials. The way the photographer shoots captures the eccentric take on a very mysterious and elegant time period.

Neon Grandmothers watch soap operas

I really like that he uses Neons and bold prints in this collection. I loved the whole galaxy print thing last season, this was a nice change. French Fashion week left me breathless!
However, there is a dark side to this collection.
Christopher Kane had an estranged counterpart only known as.....prints that clash and do not mix well with lace. GASP!!

So, overallI really like the neon lace dresses but really am not one for out of place biker tattoo style prints.

I have officially come to a conclusion that It is now fall, and even though French Fashion Week for the coming Spring have happened I am in a fall mood. By the way French Fashion week was amazing! ( I'll do a post when it ends.) Unfortunately I can't go because of school.

So, Yesterday during art class I finished my project early so, my wonderful art teacher gave me an extra credit packet titled. " How To Draw Cars." Unfortunately I have little or no interest in drawing cars from the 1990's and these are not the jazzy 50's cars or retro 60's cars. They were butt ugly. So instead with an hour to kill I devised a top ten list.

Why I love Miuccia Prada
Her clothes are so whimsical and every time another season comes up I can't wait to see what she has came up with. My favorite season of hers was spring and resort 2011. Oh. My. God
